LOUISVILLE, KY (November 25, 2013)- Oxmoor Auto Group and it’s Collision Center along with partners, Progressive Insurance, NABC (National Auto Body Council) and The Cabbage Patch Settlement House, Inc. have joined forces to give back to one very deserving local mom.
As a single parent to a 10 year old daughter and a certified nursing assistant, this year’s recipient has been struggling with multiple problems with her current transportation. Day-to-day tasks have been hindered greatly by a vehicle with high mileage, no heating or air, electrical problems causing a battery drain and a motor mount that needs to be replaced. Unable to afford the repairs or a new vehicle, this gift of a “new ride” will be a Thanksgiving gift not soon forgotten! “We are always looking for ways to give back to the community and help those in need. It is especially gratifying around the holidays and during these tough economic times,” says Del Farmer, Chief Operating Officer of Oxmoor Auto Group.
After two months and 30 Oxmoor Auto Collision Center Technicians, a 2012 Hyundai Elantra that was badly damaged in a recent accident was donated by Progressive Insurance and has been fully “recycled” and is ready to drive as if it has just left the assembly line. The vehicle will be given away this Monday, November 25 at the Oxmoor Collision Center (11505 Electron Drive) as part of the National Give-away day. Media is invited and encouraged to join Oxmoor Auto Group as the unknowing recipient is presented for the first time her new ride. The vehicle will be on display before the family arrives. Del Farmer will present the vehicle to the family at approximately 2:30pm.
